Health Insurance

The health insurance offered by Cinergy Health is not major medical, but, only pays for certain things under their limited medical benefits plan, according to Cinergy Health. Cinergy Health Preferred 500 and Cinergy Health Preferred 1000 are the two health plans Cinergy offers. These plans pay from the first doctor’s visit without deductibles, and covers hospital stays, surgical procedures, critical care, and many other health issues.

Life Insurance

Cinergy offers two types of life insurance. Term life insurance will make sure that if you die, your expenses will be taken care of, and your dependants will be able to live comfortably. Cinergy whole life insurance, according to Cinergy Health, is sometimes called permanent life insurance. There are several subcategories to whole life, traditional whole life, universal life, variable life, and variable universal life.

Critical Illness Insurance

You can get critical illness insurance with Cinergy. Cancer, heart attack, kidney failure, stroke, Coronary Artery Bypass, major organ transplants, and activities of daily living are some of the covered illnesses. You will receive a lump sum of $25,000 when you are diagnosed with a covered critical illness.

Consumer Complaints

Although Cinergy Health sounds like a good insurance plan, there have been many complaints about the company. At Consumer Affairs.com, there are consumer complaints on file, stating that Cinergy does not pay. One such complaint left the consumer owing a large sum of money, and apparently Cinergy does not want to pay for services that consumers were told were covered.
